PRICES & FAQ

  • How much do you charge?
    30 Minutes - £23.00 45 Minutes - £30.00 60 Minutes - £36.00 Please enquire about our taster sessions and special offers. Card or bank transfer are accepted.
  • What are your opening times?
    We are open 7 days a week, 9am to 10:00pm and our tutors work flexible hours within these times. You can view a guide to instrument timetables here. To enquire about availability in an instrument, please complete our enquiry form. Our office hours are Monday-Friday 10.00 am - 16.00, so enquiries will be dealt with during these times.
  • How do I pay?
    Payment should be made via card at your appointment, we cannot take cash payments. For the safety of our teachers we do not keep cash on site.
  • Do you accept payment via Childcare Voucher?
    We are not a registered childcare provider so we cannot accept payment via childcare voucher.
  • How do I book?
    Fill in our enquiry form and someone will get back to you.
  • How do I contact you?
    We require agreement to our terms and privacy policy so no bookings are taken over the phone. New studio and online bookings Please complete our contact form. New school applicants Please complete our school application form. Email Studio and online students should email info@rhythmroom.co.uk Parents of school students should email schools@rhythmroom.co.uk Telephone Our teachers are usually busy with back-to-back lessons, so are not able to answer calls during teaching hours. Our administrator works part-time flexible hours, so is not often available to answer the phone. You can call us on 01908 418570, but you will likely need to leave a voicemail, and will be directed to one of the contact methods above. We do not make bookings over the phone. Cancellations Please email your teacher directly to cancel or reschedule a lesson, you may copy in info@rhythmroom.co.uk. You must give 48 hours notice of cancellation or the full lesson fee will be charged.
  • Can I buy lessons for somebody as a present?
    Vouchers can always be purchased for existing students. For new students, vouchers will only be issued if there is availabilty in the chosen instrument.
  • What if I need to cancel my lesson?
    We ask that you give us a minimum of 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Missed lessons or cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will be charged the full lesson fee.
  • How do I find you and do you have parking?
    We are situated at 247 Queensway Bletchley, Milton Keynes, MK2 2EH. We are just off the A5 and have our own parking. You can get directions here.
  • What are your Covid-19 Safety Measures?
    Please ensure that you follow our COVID19 safety measures to keep yourself, our other students and our teachers safe.
  • What will I learn?

  • What ages do you teach?
    We teach anybody aged 8 years old and upwards, younger students may be accepted at the discretion of our tutors.
  • Do you teach complete beginners?
    Yes, everybody is welcome, even if you’ve never touched a musical instrument in your life.
  • Do I need to read music?
    No, you don’t need to read music or have any previous knowledge of music theory.
  • I’ve been playing a while but want to improve in certain aspects and areas of my playing, do you cater for this?"
    Yes, we welcome all abilities and can offer courses and coaching for musicians who may have been playing a while or want to get back into playing again.
  • What do I need to bring with me?
    Nothing, we have all of the equipment that you’ll need right here, but if you want to bring your own guitar or sticks then you are welcome to do so. *Due to Covid-19 restriction we are encouraging all student to bring their own instrument, where possible.
  • Do I need my own instrument?
    Not right away, but if you are looking to take your playing seriously you will need access to your own instrument for both practice and performance. We sell new and used musical instruments through our store and are also here to guide you on purchasing musical equipment. Electronic drum kits are a great affordable option for drummers who are worried about noise and space and there are wide range of affordable options for guitars, amps and keyboards.
  • Do you teach grades?
    If you choose to learn grades we use the RSL Rock School grading syllabus or Trinity grading syllabus.
  • Can lessons count towards my Duke of Edinburgh award?
    Yes, we are happy to reference your instrument lessons with us.
  • I have a preferred style of music or songs I want to learn, can you help me achieve my personal goals?"
    Yes we can. Grades are not for everyone, so lessons can be tailored to focus on the music you want to learn and play.
  • Can I share my lesson with somebody else?
    Lessons in some instruments can be shared by a maximum of 2 people at no extra cost. However, some restrictions may apply. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
