Ali has been playing guitar for over twenty-five years, and piano for over thirty years. As a two-time graduate of both the Academy of Contemporary Music and the Los Angeles Music Academy (now LACM), Alistair has studied under renowned guitarists such as Grammy Award-winning jazz fusion guitarist Frank Gambale (Chick Corea Elektric Band, Vital Information), guitar virtuoso Guthrie Govan (Hans Zimmer, The Aristocrats, Asia, Dizzee Rascal), and jazz guitar heavyweight Gilad Hekselman (John Scofield, Esperanza Spalding).

As a player, Ali has worked with Grammy-nominated and Brit Award-winning producer Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga, One Direction), Emmy-nominated producer/composer Philip Giffin (Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Darkwing Duck), and Puerto-Rican pop star Noelia.

In the industry, Ali has also held the role of European Artist Relations for guitar giants Ibanez, and has worked directly with some of the biggest names in rock music (Slipknot, Korn, Alice In Chains, Gojira and more).

As a teacher, Ali has over fifteen years experience and covers the entire spectrum of modern genres, as well as pop and jazz theory, composition, and musicality. Despite being very well versed in all contemporary styles ranging from pop to progressive metal, Ali's biggest musical passion lies in writing and performing funk, soul, and acid-jazz.
